Leaders Are Often the Last People to Focus on Their Own Wellbeing

There is a pattern that comes up again and again in organisations. Leaders are the ones driving wellbeing initiatives for their teams, managing the pressures of the business and looking out for the people around them. But their own wellbeing rarely gets the same attention.

When leaders are stretched, stressed or running on empty, it does not stay hidden for long. It shows in how decisions get made, how teams feel and how the culture of an organisation develops over time. Supporting leadership wellbeing is not a luxury. It is one of the most practical things an organisation can do.

When leaders are well, it shows in their teams, their decisions and the culture they create.

See How We Can Help

Leaders set the tone

How a leader talks about stress, rest and pressure directly shapes how their team approaches it. Wellbeing starts at the top.

Burnout at the top is costly

When senior people are running on empty, the impact is felt across the whole organisation. Poor decisions, lower morale and higher turnover are common results.

Small changes make a real difference

Leadership wellbeing does not have to be a big programme. A single well-run session can shift mindset, open conversations and create habits that last.

Is This Right for You?

These sessions are designed for people who carry responsibility for others. If any of the following sounds like you, you are in the right place.

HR Directors and People Leads

You champion wellbeing across the organisation but rarely get a dedicated space for your own team. These sessions give your people the time and tools to look after themselves properly.

Senior Leaders and Executives

You carry significant pressure and are often the last person to ask for support. These sessions offer a practical, honest space to focus on your own health and performance.

People Managers

Managing up, managing down and keeping everything together takes its toll. These sessions help managers build the habits and resilience they need to lead sustainably.

L&D and Wellbeing Managers

You are responsible for putting the right programmes together. These sessions are practical, well-delivered and easy to bring into an existing wellbeing or development calendar.

Practical Wellbeing for Leaders, Not Just Theory

Every session is shaped around what the leadership team actually needs. The content is always tailored to your organisation, but these are the areas most commonly explored.

  • Stress and pressure management Recognising the early signs of stress and having honest, practical tools to manage it before it builds.
  • Building healthy habits that stick Simple, sustainable routines around sleep, movement, nutrition and recovery that fit around a busy leadership role.
  • Mental health awareness Normalising open conversations about mental health and helping leaders understand how to support themselves and their teams.
  • Resilience and energy management Understanding how to recover well, protect your energy and avoid the slow slide towards burnout.
  • Personal wellbeing systems Practical methods and frameworks leaders can put in place to make sure their own wellbeing does not get lost in the day-to-day.

What Changes After a Leadership Wellbeing Session

These sessions are built around practical outcomes, not theory. Here is what leaders and organisations typically take away.

Tools leaders actually use

Not a slide deck that gets forgotten. Leaders leave with simple, specific techniques they can apply the next day and build into their routine.

Teams feel the difference

When leaders manage their own wellbeing better, it shows in how they communicate, make decisions and show up for their teams day to day.

Healthier habits that last

Leaders build small, sustainable routines around sleep, stress and energy that do not require a lifestyle overhaul to maintain.

More open wellbeing conversations

Sessions consistently spark wider dialogue. Organisations often find that leaders begin driving new conversations about wellbeing across their teams and sites.

Better performance through better health

Leaders who feel well lead better. Improved focus, calmer decision-making and greater resilience are natural results of looking after the basics.

A stronger wellbeing culture

Leadership sets the tone. When senior people openly invest in their own wellbeing, it gives everyone in the organisation permission to do the same.

Practical, Human and Built Around Your Organisation

Loving Life was founded by Tyler Lowe, who delivers every session personally. There are no junior trainers, no generic slide decks and no off-the-shelf content. Every session is shaped around the people in the room and what they actually need.

  • You get Tyler, not a stand-in

Tyler delivers every session himself. Organisations get an experienced, engaging expert who knows the subject inside out and brings genuine warmth to the room.

  • Sessions people actually open up in

Tyler shares his own experiences and reflections, which creates the kind of honest, comfortable space where leaders feel they can do the same. It is interactive, not lecture-style.

  • Tailored to your organisation every time

Content is shaped around the team, the sector and what the organisation is going through. No two sessions look exactly the same.

  • Practical from the first minute

Every session is built around tools and habits leaders can use immediately. The focus is always on what works in real life, not what sounds good in a workshop.

Hear It Directly From a Leader Who Has Been Through a Session

"Tyler has a very good way of engaging with every participant. He starts by sharing his own experiences and reflections, which opened up my team to feel comfortable sharing their own views."

After the session, Tyler sparked a lot of dialogue within the team. Leaders started asking what they were doing across their offices and factories from a wellbeing perspective and where they could focus going forward.

How long does a leadership wellbeing session last?

Sessions can be shaped around your schedule. Both webinars and in-person workshops can start from 60 minutes, with in-person sessions often running to a half day or full day depending on the depth of content and the size of the group.

If you are looking for something more sustained, a bespoke programme can be spread across multiple sessions over weeks or months. Tyler will talk through what makes sense for your team during an initial conversation.

Can sessions be delivered online or do they have to be in person?

Both work well. Virtual sessions are delivered via Teams, Zoom or whichever platform your organisation uses and are just as interactive as in-person delivery. They are a good option for geographically spread leadership teams.

In-person sessions are available across the UK. Many organisations find that face-to-face delivery creates a particularly open and engaged atmosphere, especially for senior teams who rarely get dedicated time together.

How many people can take part in a session?

Sessions are designed to be interactive, so smaller groups tend to get more from the experience. A typical leadership session works well with anywhere from 8 to 30 participants. Larger webinar formats can accommodate bigger audiences while still leaving room for discussion and questions.

If you have a specific group size in mind, get in touch and Tyler can advise on the best format.

Can the content be tailored to our organisation?

Yes, every session is tailored. There are no off-the-shelf packages. Before each session, Tyler takes time to understand your organisation, the team and what they are going through, so the content is relevant and feels personal rather than generic.

This is one of the things clients consistently mention as making the biggest difference. The session speaks directly to their situation rather than feeling like something that could be delivered to any room.

What sectors and types of organisations do you work with?

Loving Life works across both the private and public sectors. Previous clients include multinational companies such as Fujitsu, Ricoh and Amcor Packaging, as well as public sector organisations including the Department for Education and Cabinet Office.

Leadership wellbeing is relevant across all sectors. If your leaders are under pressure and you want to do something practical about it, the sessions are designed to work regardless of industry.

How do we get started?

The simplest first step is to get in touch using the form below. Tyler will get back to you to arrange a short call where you can talk through what your team needs, ask any questions and get a feel for whether this is the right fit.

There is no obligation at that stage. Many organisations find the initial call useful in itself as a way to think through what kind of wellbeing support would have the most impact for their leaders.
