What is Sports Therapy?

Sports Therapy is a type of healthcare targeting the treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries. It is used by individuals, athletes and sports enthusiast to aid with recovery from injury as well as physical performance.

This type of alternative therapy uses a range of techniques including, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Manipulation, PNF Stretching and more to help get the body to it's optimum performance levels.

What will a Sports Therapy session involve?

A Sports therapy session will involve working out what is causing your pain or discomfort. This will be done with our therapist performing a range of testing techniques to assess your injury, pain or discomfort. Some of these tests may include manual muscle testing, range of movement testing, special testing, as well as palpation. It all depends on the injury you present. Once we've worked out what is wrong, we will perform relevant treatment techniques and provide you with information and homework to help get you back in action. Our goal is to help your injury or discomfort and get you back to where you want to be.
